GM details digital-key rollout for selected Cadillacs
Eligible owners are due to see availability in their vehicle app as the rollout progresses.
What happened
GM's September 23 announcement sets out a phased digital-key rollout for eligible Cadillac vehicles. It lists the 2025–2027 LYRIQ, 2026–2027 OPTIQ and 2027 VISTIQ for September–October availability. The feature uses a compatible device's digital wallet to unlock and start the vehicle.
Why it matters
Digital-wallet access is a different capability from a vehicle app's existing remote controls. Owning one of these model years does not by itself confirm that a particular vehicle and phone are ready to use it.
What owners should know
GM says eligible owners will receive an availability notice in their vehicle app. Check the manufacturer's current vehicle and device requirements before setup, and keep the physical key available. UTH has not independently tested compatibility or the rollout.
